Many people who have Down syndrome cannot be evaluated by standard psychological lab tests. Finally, some people with Down syndrome have limited verbal and additional communication skills that may make assessment difficult.However many local districts pay much less toward those costs, on a per-pupil basis, than is normal for California.’ Retirees could face a loss of their benefits eventually. Administrators and teachers for the time being are trying to hash out a plan to improve co-payments and premium contributions from teachers to fill up some of the gap . ‘The city says it heard the arguments and developed a new plan. Premiums will be based on a retiree’s pension rather than their position as an officer, firefighter or civilian.’ At this time, about 84 % 1,100 retirees from the town don’t pay reduced, but that could change beneath the plan.
